1️⃣ Cocoa sponge cakes (2×)

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar until light foam.

  2. Add warm water.

  3. Mix the flour with cocoa and baking powder and gently fold into the dough.

  4. Spread the dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  5. Bake at 180 °C for about 10–12 minutes .

  6. Bake the second cocoa sheet in the same way . Let it cool.

2️⃣ Light sponge cake

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy.

  2. Add warm water.

  3. Stir in the flour mixed with baking powder.

  4. Bake on the same baking sheet at 180 °C for about 12–15 minutes .

  5. Let it cool.


3️⃣ Orange compote

  • Mix Sanquick syrup with water (do not boil).

  • Drizzle or spread the light sponge cake evenly with the stock to make it beautifully juicy.


4️⃣ Vanilla cream

  1. Make a thick pudding from milk, pudding, vanilla and granulated sugar .

  2. Let it cool completely.

  3. Beat the butter until foamy and gradually beat in the cooled pudding.

  4. A smooth and delicate cream will be created.


5️⃣ Folding the sections

  1. Bottom layer: cocoa sheet

  2. Spread some of the vanilla cream

  3. Add a light sponge cake with orange custard

  4. Another layer of cream

  5. Cover with a second layer of cocoa.


6️⃣ Chocolate icing

  • Melt the dark chocolate (in a water bath or microwave).

  • Spread evenly over the top of the cake.

  • We can decorate with a delicate pattern of white chocolate.


❄️ Completion

  • Let the dessert set in the refrigerator for at least a few hours (ideally overnight) .

  • We cut into neat slices.
