Crush and finely chop the garlic and mix it with the onions. Stir and cook until fragrant. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and mix. Stir briefly, then slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring constantly. Add the milk while stirring. Let the mixture heat up and thicken. Add the sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper and mix well. Let the mixture cook until the cheese melts and thickens. Taste the dish to ensure there’s enough seasoning. Add the parsley and stir. Combine the grated potatoes with the melted cheese in a large bowl and spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.
